How to Write a Book Report!
Flip Your Motivation Switch!!!

Back in the day, I didn’t know how to write a book report.
I got told to rewrite mine over and over again.

And here’s the funny thing—
Even though I’ve written 62 books,
as a student, I had no confidence in my own writing.

Weird, right?!

Why was it that…
I just couldn’t write back then?!

Well… maybe it doesn’t matter now?!

Anyway—
Today, I’m going to share with you
my way of writing a book report!

Practical Checklist for
“Finishing Your Book Report in 60 Minutes from Now”

This outlines, step by step and with clear reasoning, how to use coaching to flip the motivation switch for a “child who is desperately avoiding their book report,” guiding them naturally into a state where they can write with ease.

The key point is not to make them do it, but to guide them toward a place where they want to do it themselves.

Summary (Logical & Step-by-Step)

    • 1. Context & Purpose
This is the first of five pre-event YouTube Lives leading up to the Magic Moment event on August 29.
Aim: To prepare together with viewers so they are in the right “miracle-making mindset” by the event day.

      2. Today’s Theme: Clarifying Purpose

      • Purpose = Why / For what (the “treasure chest”)

      • Goal = Milestones toward the purpose

      • Goals (e.g., records, rankings) are only means; repeatedly digging into the “why” leads to mission or prayer.

      3. Core Questions & Framework

      1. “If you only had 5 years left to live, what would you do?”

        • Strips away the unnecessary, sharpening focus.

        • Also clarifies what not to do.

      2. “For whom? For what?”

        • Define the person or scope you want to leave with pride (e.g., family, Japan, humanity) to make the purpose concrete.

      3. “What kind of life would you be proud of?”

        • Use “pride” as the compass for decisions.

      4. Episode (Example of a Purpose in Action)

      • Creating a self-expression platform (fashion show) for children to leave hope behind—designing purpose starting from “for whom.”

      • Examples that emerge with a 5-year limit:

        • “I want to build a school”

        • “I want to awaken/enhance my calm”

      • Awareness of lifespan (via apps, fortune-telling, etc.) can improve the quality of current choices.

      5. Distinguishing Inner Voices

      • Voice of the soul: Impulses toward growth and contribution (inspiration)

      • Voice of the heart: Pull toward gain/loss calculation and status quo

      • Purpose is clarified by tuning into the soul’s voice.

      6. 5 Key Practices Before Event Day (Overall Roadmap)

      1. Clarify your purpose (today’s theme)

      2. Strengthen follow-through (next theme: complete at least one thing before event day)

      3. Enhance output skills (decide from the start where and to whom you’ll deliver your message)

      4. Optimize conditions (sleep, health, environment)

      5. Confirm values (verbalize your top personal values)

      7/ Mini Practice (3 Questions × 3 Minutes)

      1. If you had only 5 years left, list 3 things to finish this year. Choose 1 to start this week.

      2. Pride Compass – In one sentence each, define what would make you proud at the levels of family, community, and society.

      3. Convert purpose → goals: Write 1 sentence for your “why,” then list 3 measurable/actionable milestones aligned with it.

      Summary

      • Purpose is refined by anchoring it in “for whom” and “for what” and filtering through the 5-year question + pride standard.

      • Once purpose is set, goals (milestones) and daily actions align naturally.

      • Before next session: finish one task, decide your output destination, prepare your environment, and confirm your values for the big day.
