The Importance and Practice of the Life Map
Yamazaki led a foundational course on Life Map Coaching, sharing both its significance and his personal experiences. He described the Life Map as a way to “factorize” oneself—breaking down and organizing the many roles and relationships in one’s life. Emphasizing the clarity it brings, he encouraged participants to create their own Life Maps, claiming the method is both transformative and sustainable without feeling forced.
Setting Desires to Achieve Your Goals
Yamazaki explained his approach to goal setting and achievement, classifying goals into three categories: “dreams,” “problems/challenges,” and “what you can do this week.” He especially stressed the importance of setting dreams as 10x desires—amplified visions of what one truly wants. According to him, pursuing authentic desires not only boosts life satisfaction but also enhances relationships with others. He also spoke about practical task management strategies to support goal achievement, including using tools like fridge magnets to visualize tasks.
The Power of Self-Coaching
Yamazaki highlighted the crucial role of a task manager in daily life, offering techniques for clarifying desires and building a personalized Life Map. He emphasized the importance of self-coaching and reconciling with one’s inner child. Yamazaki also shared insights on leveraging AI tools, asking powerful questions to uncover one’s true goals, and choosing the right task management tools. He provided specific techniques for drawing out deep desires and aligning them with actionable steps.
I'm flying to LA tomorrow night!
