【The OHANA Project】
“Ohana” means “family” in Hawaiian.
This project embraces:
children facing school refusal, withdrawal, or abuse;
mothers and fathers struggling with parenting;
children living in institutions;
those who have left facilities and are starting anew;
individuals with challenges;
and our beloved grandparents.
Together, as one big OHANA (family),
we aim to build a gentle, connected world—
one where everyone can support and be supported,
living side by side in love and care. 🌈🤝

The reality of Japan right now—
1 in 6 children can only rely on school lunch as their main meal. 🍱
Even in today’s lunchtime talk with the film director,
the topic of young carers came up again. 🎬💭
