It turned out to be such a wonderful seminar!
One of the business owners even praised it, saying,
“Why is it priced so low? The value is incredible!” (lol)

To the 20 participants who joined us,
these are the two teammates who are working together in New York!

The AI seminar was a huge hit too!

This time, I’m planning to have tea in Shinsaibashi from 6:00 pm with those who came to this stage performance.

The venue will be at Daiwa Roynet Shinsaibashi.

This is a stage I truly hope Japanese people will see.

100 years since the start of the Shōwa era.
80 years since the end of the war.

Now is the time—
I want you to see it.

Crazy busy days lately… my blog’s running behind.
But I’ll dive in and write it properly soon!

SBNR Economy: A New Market Born from the Quest for “Inner Wealth”

↓↓↓

Quick Summary (shortest version)
SBNR = Spiritual But Not Religious—a growing segment of people who are spiritual but not tied to organized religion. Estimated at about 43% in Japan and about 20% in the U.S.
Against the backdrop of the limits of material wealth, tech fatigue, and the hollowing of community, people are increasingly seeking meaning, connection, and peace of mind. This shift is spilling over into lifestyles, consumption, and organizations.
Business is shifting from functional value → meaning value.
Organizations are shifting from control → purpose and autonomy.
Society is shifting from quantitative growth → qualitative prosperity.
The challenges: exclusivity and “SBNR-washing.”
The solutions: democratization (making it accessible to all) and authenticity (genuine practice).

1) Not a Trend—A Redrawing of the Map

This isn’t like fashion that comes and goes.
SBNR is about changing the way we see the world itself.
From “what you own” to “how you live.” It’s a redrawing of the map.

2) Expanding the Goal of the Economy

The race for speed and cheapness is no longer the finish line.
The next goal is well-being
a life with meaning, real connection, and a calm heart. Designing that is the new role of the economy.

3) The Winning Formula = Essence × Accessibility × Measurability

Stand on authentic ground.
Open the doors so everyone can take part (in price, in place, in practice).
And don’t just leave it at “feeling something”—check it with visible indicators (continuity, vitality, depth of connection).

4) Layering “Story” on Top of Function

Function is the foundation; meaning is the roof and the light.
Function moves daily life, while meaning moves the heart.
When you add “Why does it matter?” to “How does it help?”,
a product transforms into an experience.

Pocket Version (short lines)

  • SBNR is not a fad—it’s a relocation of values.

  • The purpose of the economy = efficiency + the design of meaning, connection, and harmony.

  • The keys: Authenticity × Democratization × Measurability.

  • Layer meaning on top of function—that’s the reason people choose.
