In Musk's presentation, he called the Neuralink device Link and says its "A Fitbit in your head through a tiny wire"
What he hopes to realize through using Link, is a function to request for the car (Tesla) and interface to control video games (including complete control of Starcraft).
He also says he expects that "in the future, Link users will be able to 'save and replay their memories"
This may sound more and more like a episode from Black Mirror (a Netflix suspense mystery series) but I think they are quite adept at predicting. He even said, "It's possible that we will be able to download our memories into the robot body"
