If there is not so much water in the cup to begin with, people don't usually get so angry. 

What is in your cup? 

 

Probably most people have had days that "I feel grumpy from morning today" What days are those? Those are days where there is already alot of water in your cup. 

 

The water in that cup, generally decreases if you get good sleep. However, if too many full cup days continue, and you aren't able to sleep well, then the water in the cup doesn't decrease even if you sleep. 

 

When that happens, then since from the time you wake up your cup is already full, you feel irritated. So it shows just how much us staying healthy really effects our mental state. Staying healthy, on top of controlling our emotions is so important. 

 

Once you undersatnd this system, what happens is, that you can even communicate with people who are angry. Who are people who are angry? People whose cups are overflowing. 

 

So what everyone should do when they are speaking with someone who is angry is, focus on the primary emotion they were feeling before it turned into anger. 

 

When talking to someone who is placing a complaint, instead of focusing on the anger, focus on the emotions they were undoubtedly feeing before the anger.

 

Are they angry beause things are touh, or because they are suffering or anxious? Focus on "what did they feel that made them upset" 

Once you understand that, then you'll be able to gain trust and a feeling of secureness with those who are angry. 


So when talking to people who are angry, try to see "what were they feeing before they got angry?" 

 

Once you can do that, then angry people themselves are no longer scary. 

You simply need to understand that being angry means that they primary emotion has overflowed. 

 

By the way, there are people in the world who tend to get more angry more often than others. The difference between those people is the size of their cups. Those with larger cups don't get angry as easily. And those with small cups tend to get angry easier.
