A Second Career for Pro Athletes.
Where do they go after retirement?
Level up your own value, not your ego
(This is from TikTok)
Boost your own value.
Not the value others place on you.
Dreams aren't meant to be fulfilled—
Dreams are meant to be started.
Start now.
Shrink it down to a size you can begin with,
and just start.
If it’s a restaurant you dream of:

If you want to become a singer:

Invite 3 friends to a karaoke box,
bring your guitar?! and sing your heart out.
In that moment,
what matters is your own value.
Not how others judge you.
That’s the message.
Powerful, right?
Sometimes I catch myself forgetting this,
so it struck a chord.

EMDR is・・・

What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
It’s a type of psychotherapy that helps you stay calm and grounded—even when recalling painful memories or upsetting experiences.
The full name might sound a little complicated, but to put it simply…
How does it work?
In EMDR, you recall difficult memories while moving your eyes left and right—this could be by following a therapist’s finger or hearing alternating sounds from each side.
Here’s an example of what a session might look like: 👇
You recall a difficult memory (like being bullied or being in an accident)
You practice moving your eyes left and right with a therapist
While doing that, you tune in to how you feel emotionally and physically
Little by little, your emotional response to that memory starts to shift
Why move your eyes?
It might sound a bit strange, but moving your eyes left and right is thought to help the brain sort through memories more effectively.
Some researchers believe it works similarly to REM sleep—the stage when we dream. During REM sleep, your eyes also move side to side, which may help process memories naturally.
Who is it for?
EMDR is often used to help people who:
Have experienced trauma (like accidents, natural disasters, bullying, or violence)
Struggle with intense anxiety
Feel stuck in the past and can’t move forward
The goal is to help these individuals live more fully in the present, instead of being trapped by painful memories.
Is it safe?
When done by a properly trained professional, EMDR is generally considered safe.
But since it involves facing distressing memories, it should never be forced—and it’s not something to try alone.
One last thought
EMDR gently helps organize and process those painful memories that linger in the mind.
It’s like rehabilitation for the heart—helping you move from “It hurts to remember” to “I can remember, and I’m okay.”
