35 years ago today,
on February 5th
I met Toyomi Yamada.
My life changed on this day,
February 5th.
At the time, I was 20 years old ・・・
I was a student at Hiroshima University.
I was aiming to become a teacher
and was passionate about track and field and
invested in my part-time job.
I wanted to become a good teacher,
strengthen club activities
and had a dream to make schools in Mie well known!
I was making a fair amount through my part-time job as a tutor....
and through being favored through a president I met,
I had my precious savings and hoped to go to India and
buy sundry goods at to sell at his store,
and I was excited about making some profit
and getting some experience.
I was excited about being able to do a form of business
at the age of 20 (barely more than a student)
It was so exciting for me!
Then, talk of work came to me!
They said it was an American business.
It was about distributing daily necessities.
I did say "I'm going to become a teacher so I'm not interested" but ・・・
"You can meet a successful person, how about it?"
and I wasn't able to suppress my curiosity.
I wanted to know how much of a gap there was between me
and people who are successful in the world?
What made that person successful?
Maybe this could be an opportunity for me?
Maybe it would change my life〜
But I might be tricked ・・・
Can such a good opportunity come to me?
I had mixed feelings and went to see this so-called successful person.
I said "hello〜" and looked him up and down and all around.
30 minutes passed
1 hour passed
I was drawn into his world.
Oh no.
Oh no
I must become a teacher.
I thought that, but my curiosity brought me in there,
and I ended up listening to his talk for 8 hours!!
35 years have passed since then and my life has changed so much.
