第２次世界大戦前後に定着していた「ピザのツケ払い」がイタリアで復活しました。債務危機で景気低迷が続くイタリアでは一般市民の生活も厳しい状況です。南部の町ナポリではピザは街の象徴でもあります。市民が現在お金がないためにピザを食べることができないのは忍びないと、あるピザ店が「ツケ払い」を始めたのです。一方、「保留コーヒー」という取り組みも広がりを見せています。コーヒー１杯分のお金を余分に支払い「保留コーヒー」として、現在余裕のない人を支える仕組みです。依然厳しい状況が続くヨーロッパの姿が「支えあいの制度」からも透けて見えます。
