We all don't expect doing what is obvious
to get such great results.
Because, we think that doing
something new,
something big,
or something novel
is what brings about special results.
But that isn't really the case・・・

【MouKo Rita】‼️
"To welcome evil to oneself and to give good to others, to forget oneself and to benefit others, is the ultimate in mercy."
These are the words of Dengyo Daishi, the one who opened Hiei-san. 🙏
"Evil" does not mean "bad things," but rather things that are difficult to do, hard to do, or time-consuming, and thus difficult to do easily.
"Good" is the opposite: a job that is easy to do, such as a good job, a job that requires no effort, or a job that can be done quickly by anyone. 🙏🍀
Therefore, these words mean,
”A person who spends his or her daily life with the mindset of "handing off the easy tasks to others and willingly taking on the hard tasks" is a person who works just like the Buddha.
In Buddhism, such a person is respected as a Bodhisattva, and we want to fill the country of Japan with Bodhisattvas. 🙏🍀”
This is a part of a newsletter sent to me by a friend.
忘己利他 (MouKo Rita)
How lovely.
How bold.
Letting go of your own benefit,
and living for others.
If that is the best you can do
You are the other!
"The Fierce Debate in our brain of the Angel and the Demon"

"Why Do People Lie?" It's a interesting and deep theme.

In the brains of the participants who lied,
an area called the nucleus accumbens
became particularly active.
In the brains of those who were honest through and through,
the area called the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex
is activated
Despite the strong expectation of reward
in the brains of those who pushed through with honesty,
the region called the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex

Often, scenes of struggle against temptation are
depicted in a conversation between the angel and the devil.
But it is not only a metaphor.
The angel (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex)
and the devil (nucleus accumbens)
are having a heated argument with each other in the brain.
The sensor behind your eyes shares "promise" and "confidence".
Thank you for the fun time!
