The art of Receiving

ーKrishna Deep—TED talk

The speaker came to place a few years ago where he didn't know where he was going in his career. He was heartbroken and had an empty wallet to boot.

After struggling for a while he decided to be

"open to receiving help"

That changed his life!

↓↓

Our world is made up of complex transactions,

of which the two core activities are "giving" and "receiving"

↓↓

Question!

Who wants to be a billionaire?

Who wants to eat icecream after lunch?

Who wants to be unhappy?

Our desires are separated into

wants and  needs

There are things that we are happy if it happens, but we can live without it.

Those are wants.

Write it out!

A list of all your Desires and all your Fears both big and small

On to each of them, include: WHY? HOW?

That will give you action items

↓↓

The etymology of the word RECEIVE

is "to take back" in Latin.

What does it mean??

To take back, that means we have to be giving first.

↓↓

He decided to wake up early every morning for 100 days, and give something.

To give what he had in some form, every day.

Once he started living like this,

it brought many experiences to him

and as a result it also brought about his desires. (that he had written out)

It turned out to be all connected

↓↓

The ego is what comes in the way

The moment we are born

We receive life from our parents

and they give us life.

So it comes back to this

↓↓

The world we live in is full of complex transactions.

The core of which are two basic activities

"giving" and "receiving"

or is it actually one?
