"Catfish farming project: "filling to stomach of 200 million people"
Catfish is the national dish of Nigeria, and is printed on the country's banknotes.
Catfish has always been eaten in Nigeria as a source of nutrition and protein, as well as for family gatherings and celebrations.
Nigeria's unemployment rate rose to 42% last year as a result of the corona disaster.
I worked at the Nigerian Embassy in Tokyo for six years starting in 2012.
and I've still been involved with Nigeria since then, but I've never seen anything like this.
Even now in 2021, many Nigerian families still do not have enough food to eat.
In this project, we are not giving away fish.
We don't give them fish.
We will teach them how to raise fish.
Father and mother have a job as catfish farmers.
They have delicious catfish dishes on the table.
The family sleeps soundly on a full stomach.
In the morning, the children are sent off to elementary school with smiles on their faces.
In Japan, I envision a world where everyone has access to educational opportunities to live a better life.
With your support, we will build catfish ponds, raise catfish, and improve the devastation of the corona disaster that we have seen in Nigeria.
It is our hope that the smiles on the faces of families will continue for many years to come.
Nigeria, with the largest population in Africa.
This project is to fill the stomachs of 200 million people.
Together with the local people, why not get involved in the activities to promote stable food security and employment in Nigeria?
