Beyoncé admitted that when she sang the national anthem at President Obama's inauguration, she played a pre-recorded audio recording of the anthem.
A spokesman for the Marine Corps Band, which performed at the inauguration, said that Beyonce used a tape recording. There was a lot of talk about whether or not Beyoncé lip-synced.
According to the Washington Post and other media outlets, Beyoncé, who will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 3, attended a press conference on January 31.
She asked the reporters to stand.
She then sang the national anthem a cappella,
demonstrating her superb vocal ability, and then asked,
"Any questions?"
Afterwards, Beyoncé said, "I'm a perfectionist.
I usually practice until my feet bleed," she said, "but we didn't have time to rehearse with the orchestra. I didn't want to take any risks because of the bad weather and the lack of a proper sound check."
