Society 5.0



 Beginning with the hunting society（Society 1.0）、Agricultural society（Society 2.0）、Industrial society（Society 3.0）、Information society（Society 4.0） The 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan has advocated the following future society we should aim for.

One of the issues in our current Information Society （Society 4.0）is that knowledge and information are not properly shared, causing insufficient cross-sectoral collaboration. 
  As there is a limit to human abilities, finding the necessary information from the overflow of information and analyzing it has been a burdensome task, and there have been limitations of range of work due to  age or disabilities. Additionally, there are multiple issues due to low birth rate and aging population and depopulation of rural areas, making it difficult to respond sufficiently. 


The society that will be a reality with Society 5.0  will connect all forms of knowledge and inforamtion via the IoT（Internet of Things, and by birthing a new value that did not exist till now, it can overcome these issues and difficulties. Also due to Artificial Intelligence（AI）necessary information can be provided at the necessary time, and through technology such as  robots and automatic cars, the issues of low birth rate, aging population, depopulation of the regions, and widening gap of the rich and poor can be overcome. 

Through social innovation, we can breakthrough the feeling of blockage, and create an hopeful and active society where each person can live comfortably, and in a society when we can respect each other across generations.
