The flight to Bali isn't taking off.
Oh no,
oh no,
oh no.
But — everything that happens in life is exactly what's best.
This — is a test!!!
Open Chat for the "CRAZY DREAM PROJECT"
↓↓↓
This is Yamazaki Takumi!
To everyone,
I've decided to rename this Open Chat from
"Tomabechi Hideto Study Group"
to
"CRAZY DREAM PROJECT."
The reason is simple — I want this space to be more than just a place to learn about Dr. Tomabechi's work.
I want it to become a place where we "find our Crazy Dreams and gradually transform our lives."
Going forward, this Open Chat will be sharing content on:
・How to use the Quantum Journal
・Dr. Tomabechi's ideas and frameworks
・Goal-setting and building habits
・Real-life examples of moving toward dreams and goals
・Updates on CRAZY DREAM PROJECT activities
I'll also be sharing my own dreams and the progress of my personal challenges here.
Right now, what I'm taking on includes:
・Making a film
・Turning success into a skill
・Achieving world peace
・Showing the world that "dreams come true" through creative work
・Experimenting with small economic ecosystems and co-creation platforms
・Building spaces where people can talk openly about their dreams
・Spreading the message that goal-setting can change your life
Pretty out-there dreams, I know.
And as I move toward those dreams —
What challenges am I taking on right now?
What am I thinking, and what actions am I taking?
What walls am I running into?
I want to share not just the wins, but the whole messy process of trial and error.
Maybe watching that unfold will give someone else the push they need to take their own leap.
And maybe your challenges, in turn, will give someone else the courage to take theirs.
Posts will primarily come from me and the team at the office.
When I'd like everyone to share or post something, I'll create a dedicated thread — please jump in when that happens!
Going forward, the range of topics will be a little broader than the study group format has been, so if you're here specifically for Dr. Tomabechi's content and nothing else, this space may not be quite the right fit anymore.
If that's the case, please feel free to leave anytime — no hard feelings at all.
On June 14th, we'll also be holding:
"Quantum Journal — The Ultimate How-To Session"
It'll be a great opportunity to get much more out of the Quantum Journal you already have.
I hope this Open Chat becomes a place of new connections, new learning, and that first small step forward for all of you.

The Hidden Half of Nature (David Montgomery and Anne Biklé) is a book that scientifically unpacks the surprising fact that two things that seem to have nothing in common — "plant roots (soil)" and "the human gut (the body's interior)" — actually operate on strikingly similar mechanisms.
Here's the theory broken down into four stages.
Understanding the Hidden Half of Nature in 4 Stages
1
Plant Roots are "Inside-Out Intestines"
How the soil works
Plants appear to draw up nutrients on their own through their roots — but that's not actually what's happening. Hundreds of millions of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) live around plant roots, breaking down rocks and organic matter in the soil and converting them into a form plants can absorb (food).
Even more remarkably, plants leak up to 40% of the sugar (energy) they produce from sunlight directly from their roots — essentially as a "reward (food)" for the microorganisms, luring them in. In other words, plants and microorganisms live in a give-and-take (symbiotic relationship): "I'll feed you, and in return, you make my nutrients."
2
The Human Gut is Also "Soil Inside the Body"
How the Body Works
This system is, in fact, identical to the human "gut (digestive organs)." The human stomach and intestines can break food down into a liquid state — but that alone isn't enough to produce the vitamins and immune function (the power to fight disease) the body needs.
This is where the 100 trillion gut bacteria living inside us come in. They break down what remains of what we've eaten and produce the nutrients our bodies need, along with signals that protect us from illness. What roots do inside soil and what the gut does inside the body are, scientifically speaking, the exact same system: relying on microorganisms to receive nutrition.
3
Modern "Convenience" Is Wiping Out the Microorganisms
The problem with the modern world
Today, however, this remarkable system is being destroyed. There are two causes.
The soil crisis: overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. When chemical fertilizers (think of them like supplements) are poured on in large quantities, plants are tricked into thinking "I can get nutrients without feeding the microorganisms" — and stop feeding them. As a result, the microorganisms in the soil starve, and the soil turns into hard, lifeless "dead sand."
The body crisis: the processed foods humans eat (snacks, instant foods) and overuse of antibiotics that kill bacteria. When dietary fiber — the gut bacteria's favorite food — runs low, or when medication kills off the good bacteria along with the bad, the gut becomes ravaged, and allergies and immune disorders increase.
4
The Answer Going Forward is "Nurturing the Microorganisms"
The solution through organic farming and health
So what's to be done? The answer the book arrives at is simple: "Rather than feeding nutrients directly to plants or humans, feed the microorganisms that support them."
In farming, this means abandoning chemical fertilizers and putting organic matter — compost, fallen leaves — back into the soil. This becomes food for the soil's microorganisms, and rich soil returns. This is the true science behind organic farming. For humans, it's the same: eat dietary fiber and fermented foods to nurture your gut bacteria, and you build a body that is resilient against illness.
The heart of this book in a single sentence
"Making the soil healthy is, by extension, completely synonymous with making the human body healthy."
A landmark book that teaches us we are not living alone — we are living as a team, partnered with our tiny allies: the microorganisms.

The investment secrets of
the world's most famous investor, Warren Buffett
— explained in three steps.
Step 1
:Who exactly is Warren Buffett?
First, let's get a sense of just how extraordinary this man is.
62 years of winning big: He was an active investor for 62 years straight, retiring at 95 on New Year's Eve 2025.
An almost unbelievable track record: If you had entrusted him with your money, ¥100,000 would have grown to ¥4.4 billion. A true super-grandpa.
The golden rule — don't rush: When Buffett bought his first stock at age 11, he sold the moment it ticked up slightly and was happy with the small profit. But the stock went on to surge far higher. At 11 years old, he learned: "Never sell in a panic. Patience is everything."
Step 2
:The 5 Rules Buffett Never Broke
Buffett never chased the latest complex technologies.
Instead, he consistently asked himself these five simple questions before investing in anything.
- Do I understand the business? (If I can't grasp how it works, I don't touch it)
- Does it have a competitive edge rivals can't easily copy?
- Is it making real money right now? (Certain profits today, not promises about tomorrow)
- Can I hold it forever?
- Will it still be relevant in 10 years?
Famous examples: Coca-Cola and Apple
Coca-Cola: He invested because it had an absolute brand (competitive edge) — a taste known the world over, with no real substitute.
Apple: Buffett didn't see the iPhone as "sophisticated technology." He saw it as a daily necessity (consumer product) that people couldn't live without. He recognized that "once you're used to an iPhone, switching to another phone feels like a hassle" — and that human psychology was the competitive edge nobody could replicate.
Step 3
:The Answer Buffett Chose in the Age of AI
AI is the talk of the world right now. New AI companies are emerging one after another — yet just before his retirement, Buffett bought approximately ¥640 billion worth of Google stock. Why Google, and not a cutting-edge AI company? This is where Buffett's brilliance shines.
① He looked at "business structure", not technology
AI technology moves too fast — even professionals can't predict which AI will be the best in three years. But Buffett reasoned: "Technology changes. Business models don't."
② Why Google passed Buffett's test
Unrivaled data and users: For 25 years, Google has commanded 90% of the world's searches, and YouTube has 2.5 billion users. No new AI company could possibly replicate that overnight.
Real, consistent profits: While most AI startups are still operating at a loss, Google is generating enormous actual revenue every year through advertising and cloud services.
Still essential in 10 years: No matter how advanced AI becomes a decade from now, humans will never stop "looking things up (searching)." That behavior itself isn't going away.
Summary
:What we can Learn
What Buffett taught us in the end is this: "Don't ride the flashy wave (trending technology). Look at the ocean creating that wave (the business foundation)."
Whenever you think about investing or building a business in the future, remember these three questions from Buffett:
"Is it making real money right now?"
"Does it have a competitive edge rivals absolutely cannot copy?"
"Will the world still need it in 10 years?"
This is the timeless essence of investing — unshaken no matter how the era changes.
