The other day at lunch...

I had a wonderful time with screenwriter Saijo-san!

Hoshino-san's favourite film is...

‘A Little Love Melody’

Mr. Shimada's is

‘Once Upon a Time in New York’

Mr. Saijo said that what he says changes from time to time,

but he prefaced his words with this.

To put it simply,

‘what you do comes back to you’

what you want will come to you in a bigger way’

Tidying up

↓↓↓

Pick it up and physically touch the item.

Does it make your heart flutter and spark joy or not?

↓↓↓

That's how to decide whether to keep it or let it go.

↓↓↓

What does ‘spark joy'  mean?

It means it makes your cells perk up

What does something that doesn't spark joy mean?

It's a heavy feeling.

How do seeds change our world?

The story of a pen

There is a pen.

To you, this is a pen.

For a dog

it is a toy to play with.

When the dog and you are gone,

what is this thing?

It's nothing,

but it doesn't mean that there isn't anything.

It is = KUU (emptiness)

When you enter the room,

it's just a thing - a pen

When the dog enters,

it's just a thing - a toy

Did you turn it into a pen?

Did the thing turn into a pen?

You turned it into a pen

This world is what you make it!

If you want money,

give money.

Then it will grow and come back to you.

One by one

be grateful for each thing,

and let it go

Thank you for everything!

This wasn't for me, but I was able to recognize that.

Thank you!

It was also to prove that the philosophy of pen is also useful for business

Three diamonds in the palm of his hand...

That's where it all began.

After tidying up the environment is filled with only the things that

spark joy for you!

When you help others,

you become a better person.

Humans have three main desires

・They want more time

・They want better relationships

・They want more income

Cleaning is a concrete action

Meditation is ‘concentration on one point’

You become aware of your own patterns (= habits)

You gain freedom

Mental Seed and learning in Kyoto: The richness of giving

Today was a special day. I visited Kyoto at the invitation of Sophie and learned in depth about Mental Seeds. At the heart of this is a simple philosophy is:

"What you do/give will come back to you."

This phrase became the axis around which we considered how to design our lives and actions. For example, the teaching that ‘if you give what you want, it will grow and return to you’ gives us a great insight into the heart.

Organising your heart and your inner self

In the process of putting KonMari's method of tidying into practice, there is a process of separating out the things that ‘spark joy’ and the things that ‘don't spark joy’**. This leads to not only physical organisation, but also inner self-organisation.

  • Things that spark joy
  • A sensation that makes your cells tingle with joy. It makes your energy within you feel light.
  • Things that don't spark joy
  • Things that make you feel heavy and dull, and lower your energy.

Cleaning up is not just a physical action, but an act that polishes your sensitivity and leads you to a pure state.

The story of the pen and the philosophy of 'emptiness'

The story introduced as “the philosophy of the pen” was also very impressive. At first glance, a pen is just a pen, but its existence changes depending on who it is for and what it is to them.

  • To a person, it is a “pen”
  • to a dog, it is a “toy”
  • When both are gone, it becomes nothing - “emptiness”.

This world is created by our own perceptions.

This way of thinking has completely changed the way I see things and how I behave.

Geshe Michael and the philosophy of giving

Geshe Michael's

Diamond Philosophy was another highlight of the course.

  • A business that started with zero yen and became a success
  • He built a global business from just three diamonds in the palm of his hand. The secret to his success was a philosophy based on the idea of giving.

  • Helping others helps you grow
  • Time, good relationships, money
  • — these are the things that everyone wants,
  • and the teachings that you can get these things through the act of giving
  • resonated with me.

Community experience in Kyoto

The event in Kyoto was a community based on the act of giving. More than half of the participants came from America, Canada, Europe and Asia, and we shared a time full of international flavour.

  • I am truly grateful for the opportunity to deepen my learning in such a pleasant space, full of pleasant energy. Finally: Who are you?Through meditation, tidying up, and philosophy, I realised my own habits and patterns, and by overcoming them, I can gain freedom.
  • I felt the richness that comes from giving and the possibilities that open up from that, and I gradually arranged my life and grew. It was a day like that.

  • What will you give and what kind of seeds will you plant?

Thank you for dropping by to visit TAKUSANDO

Thank you everyone who went to the event in Shibuya yesterday too!
