Got totally fired up talking about gut health~
When it comes down to it, people are just bacteria in a costume.
Sooner or later, you're better off just looking at it from that angle.
And you know what, maybe the subconscious is just gut bacteria.
If you want to change your life, start taking care of your gut!
Thank you!

Yakult's Surge: New Manager Ikeyama's "Reiwa-Style Coaching" Is a Perfect Fit… How He Connects with Young Players Who've Never Known Corporal Punishment (Modern Business)
Maybe this is the key to nurturing young people?!
↓↓↓
"Develop While Competing" — A "Reiwa-Style" Coaching Philosophy
"From Manager Ikeyama's baseball, you can clearly see not a focus on short-term wins, but a commitment to 'developing players while competing.' He never criticizes players for mistakes — he always finds something to praise, and greets them back to the bench with applause. During games, true to his Hyogo roots, he shouts in Kansai dialect until his voice gives out. His bright, upbeat personality is a great match for today's young players, who grew up in an environment free from corporal punishment." It's a coaching style that truly embodies the "Reiwa era" — but at its core lies a formative experience from his playing days, when he was affectionately known as "Bunbun Maru." "
Manager Ikeyama was a Yakult star who secured a regular spot just four years after graduating high school, but back then he had intense ups and downs, and some mental instability too. The late Manager Konzō Sekine took notice and told him 'it's okay to strike out as much as you want,' giving him the freedom to play at ease — and from there, he grew enormously." (Team alumnus)
Anatomist Takeshi Yoro and media artist Yoichi Ochiai sit down for a conversation on "life and death" in the age of AI, and the spiritual state of modern Japanese people.
1. Analyzing Modern Society: The Return of the Showa Era and the Spread of AI
Yoro points out that the current state of the world resembles "Japan just before the Showa-era war."
- Energy and Conflict: Just as the war of that era began and ended over oil, today energy issues are once again at the center of rising tensions — including the US-China conflict. [00:03:52]
- The Loss of Emotion: Prewar Japanese people possessed a powerful emotion — "anger" — but modern Japanese have forgotten it, and in its place have become nitpicky about small things while losing genuine, wholehearted intensity. [00:04:47]
- The "Bureaucratization" of Human Beings: He sounds the alarm on the advancing "brain-ified society," in which all procedures become formalized and human beings themselves behave like computers running on algorithms. [00:17:17]
2. Redefining Life and Death: Embodiment and the "Second-Person Death"
Drawing on his own experience with illness (myocardial infarction and lung cancer), he frames death not as "an individual matter" but as "a matter of relationships."
- The Absence of First-Person Death: When we die, we are unconscious — meaning we cannot actually experience our own death. This is why the feeling of "being afraid to die" is, theoretically, difficult to make sense of. [00:12:41]
- Second-Person Death: Death means that someone who knew you is gone, or that you have been erased from someone's memory — it is something that only becomes real through the existence of others. [00:09:05]
- The Hallucination: He recounts seeing a hallucination of a Jizō statue during surgery, pointing to the blurry boundary between the subjective world the brain constructs and objective reality. [00:13:37]
3. Human Nature in the Age of AI: What Kind of "Strength" Do We Need Now?
The conversation turns to what domains should remain in human hands as AI becomes widespread.
- Mental Stamina and Curiosity: Ochiai names "the stamina not to give up," while Yoro names "curiosity" — both agree that spontaneous interest is essential for continuing to engage with AI. [00:11:32]
- The Richness of the Five Senses: Modern people are drowning in information and have lost the ability to carefully observe the world around them. They speak to the importance of deliberately placing oneself in inconvenient environments — like camping — to sharpen the senses. [00:15:27]
- AI Takeshi Yoro: He mentions that an AI avatar trained on his own thinking has been appointed as a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo, raising a new question: how does a being that exists only as "words," without embodiment, affect human beings? [00:02:04]
4. Conclusion: On Aging and the Nature of Happiness
- Liberation from "Desire": One advantage of growing older is that excess desires are stripped away. He finds the essence of happiness in small, "one-step-lower" pleasures — like the simple joy of spotting an insect in spring. [00:16:24]
- An Argument for Simplicity: Rather than overcomplicating the world, the wisdom for navigating the complexities of an AI-driven society lies in the attitude of "let's just keep it simple." [00:06:33]

Yoichi Ochiai
Theme: "The World in the Age of Superintelligent AI" — how is the evolution of AI transforming war, the economy, and human life?
1. The AI Productivity Explosion and the Arrival of "AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)" Ochiai cites his own programming work as having jumped 32x to 100x in output thanks to AI (such as Claude Code), emphasizing that the technological singularity is imminent.
- AGI Declaration Within One Year: In terms of programming, AGI-level capability — equal to or surpassing human intelligence — will be reached within the year, accelerating the automation of research. [00:02:15]
- Dramatic Cost Reduction: The cost of using the latest models is decreasing at a rate of 1/900 per year, triggering a "redistribution" of capability. [00:17:02]
- The Rise of One-Person Unicorn Companies: Systems that once required tens of millions of yen to develop can now be completed overnight for a few hundred dollars using AI agents — and individual taste becomes the maximum lever of value. [00:25:06]
2. "AI × War" and the Race for Physical AI Supremacy The evolution of AI is most acutely visible in the military domain, fundamentally reshaping the global balance of power.
- Asymmetric Warfare: Like the clash between cheap drones and expensive missiles, wars in which the conditions for defeat are unclear — or in which "no human lives are put at risk" — become the norm. [00:07:25]
- Physical AI and National Defense: Information on screens will be fully handled by AI; the next battleground shifts to the "physical layer" — robots, pharmaceuticals, drones. At its center will be the allocation of defense budgets driven by the imperative of survival. [00:26:34]
- The Future of US-China Rivalry: Since the cost for a second-mover to catch up is low, China's physical AI — backed by abundant talent in hardware, software, and mathematics — will become extremely powerful going forward. [00:28:41]
3. The Transformation of Social Infrastructure: Energy and Supply Chains We have entered an era in which the physical foundations required to run AI determine national power.
- Energy Security: The AGI era will demand enormous amounts of electricity, making a return to nuclear power, nuclear fusion, and power efficiency through dedicated chips indispensable. [00:36:03]
- Parallels to the "Railway Mania" Era: The current AI bubble resembles the overinvestment once seen in railways and fiber optics — and just as then, once the bubble bursts, AI will dissolve into society as an "inexpensive public good," completing a true industrial revolution. [00:19:04]
4. What Remains for Humans: Creating Value and Living Life A fundamental question is posed: once AI handles the majority of work, what should humans do?
- The "Choosing" Paradigm: The era of humans "co-creating" with machines is ending; we are shifting into an era where humans "choose" from the vast array of options AI automatically generates. [00:32:40]
- Japan's Strength in "Meaning-Making": Japan's competitive advantage lies in generating "value that humans find comfortable" — IPs like Pokémon, Japanese cuisine, and the arts. [00:29:14]
- From a Tool for Working to a Tool for Enjoying: Until now, computers were "tools for working" for white-collar workers — going forward, they evolve into tools oriented around life itself: how to enrich the time when we are not working. [00:38:43]

Thank you for your time

And once again, I learned so much from Nishizawa-kun!
Today we started with the "Black/White Engine theory" and moved through self-affirmation, somatic work, the purity model, gut health, human love vs. cosmic love, and rediscovering one's mission — not merely exchanging information, but co-generating ideas in real time in a state of things "coming down" to us.
Black Engine → White Engine
What lies at the root of the Black Engine?!
The Black Engine is not simply "trying too hard" — it runs on fuel from experiences of being hurt and the desire to prove oneself It often originates in patterns of behavior from parents, and wounds from past relationships As long as these wounds remain, "forgiving/healing" is not possible
Why we can't switch to White
- Because success experiences are tied to the process of pushing through with the Black Engine, there is an unconscious fear that letting go of Black means losing success too
- Example: studying for tests driven by rivalry — "I won't lose to my brother" → good grades → the belief that losing that fighting spirit will cause grades to drop In other words, because the wound and the success are packaged together, resistance to healing the wound arises
The 3 things needed to go White Forgive:
Forgive: those who have hurt you (especially parents)
Acknowledge: understand the background and emotions that led them to act that way
Heal: heal the wounds within yourself
The Shift from Competition to Co-Creation
- In the Black Engine state, others are seen as "targets to defeat" — making them enemies in battle
- The transition to White is a shift from competition (battle) to a co-creative relationship of standing side by side
- This shift only happens when you acknowledge the other person
- Many people think "high self-affirmation = affirming everything about yourself." Many people are in a state of "affirming only the good parts, while denying or hiding the bad parts."
- True Self-Affirmation Saying OK to everything, including the parts that aren't working Self-denial → denial of others
- The parts of yourself you deny appear as projections onto others The parts of yourself you can't forgive → you can't forgive the same parts in others
- Putting a lid on your own flaws → the Black Engine activates to clear those parts
- The Relationship with Japan's Collective Consciousness
- Japanese culture carries a collective consciousness of "don't let it show," "hide it," "don't disturb the harmony"
- This socially reinforces self-denial at the individual level The healthy state is actually "harmony through letting the dark side out too" — but there is an atmosphere that doesn't allow for this
- The dark side tends to emerge most in front of those closest to you = which is precisely why that becomes an important part of the healing process
The Three-Layer Structure of Sensation, Emotion, and Thought
— 3-1 Overview of the Process Something happens
↓
The subconscious instantly draws from a vast store of memories a "body sensation" paired with an early childhood experience
↓
In order to escape that body sensation (such as a vague discomfort in the chest)
↓
【Emotional selection】
→【Thought selection】
→【Action selection】occur in an instant
↓
This becomes the conscious recognition of "I thought this about that" It may look as though the mind is moving with "I'm frustrated, I need to do something about it" — but in reality, the selection being made is one driven by the need to escape the body sensation.
Resolution Through Somatic Work- Apply backspin from the event to the body sensation, and simply continue to "sit with" that sensation
- At first it is felt as a sense of discomfort, but the longer you stay with it, the discomfort transforms into simply a sensation
- Once the sensation becomes "something that isn't unpleasant," reflexive emotional and behavioral responses stop occurring You become able to choose your thoughts and actions through your own will
The Three Axes
↓↓↓
① The Parental Axis Trace the roots of emotion back to patterns inherited from parents By understanding the emotions and history of your parents, a feeling of warmth arises — "so that's how they must have felt" Healing occurs through the flow: understanding → warmth → the ability to forgive
② The Past-Life Axis There are baseline emotions that cannot be explained by this lifetime alone Emotional patterns carried over from past lives appear as fractals These are more accessible through "emotion" than through body sensation
③ The Collective Consciousness Axis These are not individual issues — one can be pulled along by the collective emotions held by groups, organizations, and environments Primitive collective fears such as "I can't survive being ostracized" and "being bullied is terrifying" It is important to use energy to sever these connections
The Purity Model
【HIGH PURITY ZONE】
Mission · Contribution · Whole-System Awareness
Miracles · Gratitude · Expanding Self-Acceptance
↑↑ <Adult Axis>
↑↑ <Child Axis> Accumulation · Growth ↑↑ Release · Forgiveness · Freedom Reality · Thinker ↑↑ Emotion · Artist · Self-Expression ↑↑ 【LOW PURITY ZONE】 Sense of Lack · Self-Centeredness · Denial of Miracles Mental Blocks · Narrowing of Self
↓↓ Adult Axis excess: · Criminal energy
Child Axis excess: · Withdrawal · "I'm worthless anyway"
The Mechanism of Ascent
Ascent happens by moving back and forth between the Adult Axis and Child Axis Getting stuck in either one prevents upward movement Those drawn to spirituality tend to end up only on the Child Axis Those drawn to business tend to end up only on the Adult Axis Running "forgiveness and release" (Child Axis) alongside "accumulation and growth" (Adult Axis) as two wheels together is the key to raising purity
The Connection Between Gut Health and the Subconscious
"Could it be that the subconscious (the deep layer of consciousness) ≈ the gut microbiome?"
The subconscious issues instructions independently of our conscious thinking
Gut bacteria also control the host
We think "I made that decision myself" — but in reality, we may be being hijacked by our gut environment
The Origin of "Gut Feeling"
The "gut" in gut feeling = the intestines Racket gut strings = made from sheep intestines (historically) "Guts" and "guts pose" also come from the tanden — the body's center of power The true source of intuition may lie in the sensation of the gut
Distinguishing Human Love from Cosmic Love
Two Types of Love Defined
Item | Human Love | Cosmic Love
Area of concern | The person right in front of you | The full unfolding of that person's entire life Pattern of action | "You should do it this way" — giving advice | Not limiting the other person's possibilities Effect on coaching | Giving answers | Expanding the world through questions Result | The other person becomes limited | The other person expands on their own
The essence of a coach's work is to expand the worldview that the other person is limiting themselves to
The Paradox of Limitation Through Love
It is precisely because of love that we want to say "you should do it this way" Yet the "you should do it this way" of human love ends up limiting the other person Choosing cosmic love creates a synergistic effect — "the other person expands, and so do you"
Takumi Yamazaki's Future
An outstanding talent for "receiving what comes down and speaking it"
"Becoming a speaker who receives and speaks not just in Japan, but all over the world"
Holding informal talks wherever he travels (free of charge is fine)
The absolute prerequisite is moving from a White Engine of pure desire to share When the thinking of "connecting this to business" enters, purity drops and expansion stops.
The fixed belief that "I need to keep my feet on the ground"
There is actually energy that wants to leap further out
Yet constraining thoughts of "I have to keep things this way" are suppressing it
A state where business goals take priority over mission
Concrete Approaches to Global Expansion
Hold informal talks locally on every overseas trip (free)
First build up free informal talks in Japan to refine the know-how and the art of creating the space

The Heaven-Earth Mutual Expansion Model Defining Heaven and Earth
Heaven: the universe · higher consciousness · what comes down · pure transmission
Earth: reality · business · human relationships · daily accumulation
The Principle of Mutual Expansion
As Earth expands, Heaven can expand too
As Heaven expands, Earth expands too
Just as Asahi Beer and Kirin Beer competing with each other expands the entire beer market, Heaven and Earth mutually expand each other
AI, Consciousness Level, and the Direction of Humanity
The Relationship Between AI and Consciousness Level
AI directly reflects the consciousness level of the person using it
Use it at a low level of consciousness and low-level answers come back
Engage with it at a high level of spiritual awareness and AI responds with high spiritual awareness "It becomes a mirror image of who you are"
Humanity's Fork in the Road
Whether humanity moves in the direction of connecting with the universe and the inner world, or stays in the three-dimensional realm, will determine where we are headed The rapid evolution of AI and robots has the potential to dismantle three-dimensional structures of control and management If the dismantling is healthy, ascent is possible — but if misused, collapse follows
That is precisely why transmitting thought of high purity becomes an urgent mission
The Nuclear Explosion Metaphor
AI is like a nuclear explosion: depending on how it is used, it can be extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad Used in a low-consciousness, impure place, it becomes "a tool for criminals" What determines this is not technology, but the purity of human consciousness
"Raise your purity, receive it, and pass it on to the world"
