This gravestone, we requested to be made by Mr. Izumi of Izumi Stone Works,
who was the partner of Isamu Noguchi.
We asked Prime Minister Hosokawa for the engraved letters.

When you meet a chef about food
A driver about cars
A Buddhist priest about the other world or anything,
don't pretend to know but listen with a pure heart.
It'll expand your world much more than
just your own bragging, and what's more,
it will make your time more enjoyable.
Even if you've heard it before,
still listen!
