When an "idea" is born
an "opposing idea" is also born to counter it.

There are those who
oppose the idea
or compete with it.

And from there
new ideas, new ways of doing things, and new actions are born!

↓↓↓

How does this apply to Japan?

50 years ago Japan was a poor country.
It was a country where it didn't cost money to start a business.
It was creating high quality products.

Japan had many workers that were educated to work at a low salary,
this is why it grew and succeeded.

↓↓↓ and the opposite to this was born↓↓↓

Japan succeeded and became a rich country.
It started costing more money to start a business.
There started appearing people who didn't work as hard.

This is a very common phenomenon
↓↓↓
Even if the grandparents are successes, the grandchildren rarely succeed.

Japanese borrow money instead of saving it.
As the prices of commodities went up so did the salaries.
As a result, Japan lost its efficient edge,
and is no longer as rich of a country as before.
Japan is a wonderful country, but it is no longer the same as in the past.

What happened to the countries that reigned at the top

If you look back at history,
what happened to Japan
is also happening to the other countries of thew world that were also at the top.

No matter who is leading the country, the country starts to hold debt, and the children and grandchildren get lazy and starts wars with other countries.

example)

England used to be successful

America appeared

France and Spain were also strong countries.
China also used to have alot of power thousands of years ago.
There was also an era where India was also powerful.

↓↓↓
Once they are rich, the people start to get lazy, stop working hard,
stop saving money, and start looking for a easy way.

The same thing is happening now.
America, that had become rich  and powerful
now holds the largest debt in the world.

America did not spend money as it does now,
and the people worked hard, and were not in debt.

4 years go, when visiting Oxford University, the students recognized Japan as

"Japan as already passed its peak and is over" .

However now,
how many people in Japan "see Japan as a declining country" ?

There are likely not a few Japanese who cannot get  the era of Japan in the 1980's when it was booming out of their mentality.

What causes a country to decline?

The reason for the decline is

↓↓↓

One of the reasons a country declines is when "people try to gain things easily"

In the past, everyone worked hard and as a result there were those who became rich and succeeded.

However, now the grandchildren generation try get what is easy to get.
That's why countries decline."

📝Excerpt📝
The era with Corona, is also said to be a era of clashing with Gaia (the earth)
For a long time, "What was good for humans" did not need to be conscious of "what was good for the earth". But now it has become necessary to think of a future that is both "best for humans" AND "best for the planet" or humans will not survive.

I quite like Ataka-san's talk. (lol)
Maybe I'll re-read "SHIN NIHON".
What's in this article of "best for humans" and "best for the world" will probably go on to become a keyword for the coming future!
